I have Movie Edit Pro 14 and I would like to change the play speed on a gradient, as with an object curve. I have not found a way to do this using object curves and so I am wondering if there is another way to make this happen.

It is impossible to do that with MEP 14. But with MEP MX (18) Plus or Premium you can change play speed with keyframing.

A (time and effort consuming) possibility would be to cut your clip into many short pieces and then stretch each in or out a different amount. The more cuts and the more gradual the speed changes the better -- if you have the patience!
I'd suggest making the pieces of roughly equal playing length after the speed adjustments. I'd also recommend an upgrade to a newer version. They offer so much more!
