It has something to do with your audio interface setup. Check it in preferences and under audio tab. Other than that, acid pro is a very buggy DAW and still very unstable. If you continue with the problems, I would request a refund.

Hey Ron, I am proficient in Studio One, Ableton and Cubase however, Acid Pro is my main DAW due to it's workflow. But like many other users, I have accepted the fact that it will crash, will have bugs and possibly Magix will not be updating it anymore. So, I use it frequently for something quick and in one go as a file will re-open, no guarantees. I cannot say another DAW even comes close to being similar to Acid. So, the options are open, all other DAWs are being used ONLY because they are stable, nothing replaces Acid Pro otherwise.
