Platinum18: How to export mp4?

Just installed Movie Studio Platinum 18. Quite the learning curve.

mp4 is not one of the export options. How do I get it?

Hi,

The best way and most flexible is to go to the top menu, File, Export Movie, Video as MPEG-4, click on Display all and the pop down the top box. I always use MP4 FullHD 1920x1080 29.97p. Magix has optimized the presets so I suggest that you not play with them under Advanced unless you really know what you are doing.

thank you this helps. Is there a way to "star" some as my favorites so I don't have to pick from the dropdown each time?

Yes. On the export screen, at the top right, save your setting with your name etc. Export. Next time, your preset will be on the shortened popdown list; no need to select Display all.

There are many keyboard shortcuts which are worth learning - they are listed in the PDF manual which should be available under Help in the program.

For exporting as MP4/AVCHD the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+G .
