Pizzicato and Staccato in Magix Music Maker Premium? Where Can I Find More Real World Instruments?

Tchevski wrote on 3/17/2015, 12:06 PM

I'm a beginer, just downloaded a Music Maker Premium 2015 and started my 30-day trial. I really like the software, except for two things I couldn't figure out:

1. I downloaded the VST (or VST2? not sure and don't know what that means....), anyway, I can use real world instruments like orchestral brass, string, and winds in it. However, I couldn't figure out how to make the strings do pizzicato and staccato, seems like I cannot simply add these effects like in garageband. Is there anyway I can make these real world instruments sound more like real world?

2. Where can I find more plug-ins for even more real world instruments please? Like the Asian or Latin American flutes, drums, strings please?

Hi and welcome to the Magix Community,

See this tutorial and you will see some of the instruments that are available.

The only VST instrument that I have from Magix that has pizzicato and spiccato (not staccato) is String Ensemble. See the image below.

In the screen shots below, you will other VST instruments similar to what you are looking for, that come from Magix. For third party instruments, there are many on the market, some expensive, some free (watch out for adware that comes with the free ones). You can easily do your own research.

World flutes:

World Percussion

There is also Celtic Harp and Urban Drums available from Magix.

See the following link for a listing of all instruments.

Magix also has many more in a package called Independence. I have not tried to make it work with Music Maker, but the 12 GB version came with and works with Samplitude Music Studio. It probably works with Music Studio as well.

Great Answer! Thank you very much! That's exactly what I need. One more question please, I went to the list of available instruments, but I didn't find world flutes, did they stop offering that or I have to go somewhere else to find more instruments please? Thank you very much!

Hi,

I don't know whether or not the link for the Additional Instruments actually works, because when I click on it just gives me the Magix.com site, and I can't find the page by navigating through Magix.com. So I have made a pdf of the web page for all Vita instruments that are available.

Here is the link to the pdf.

You are right, World Flutes is not on the list. However, it is included with MMM2015 Premium. See the advert in Magix.com for the instruments and synths that come with it.
