Pitching up AND only recording 1 side

I am using MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio 25.0.0.32 (DP3) and the FocusRite Scarlett box.

I am having two issues.

1)When I record and play it back my bass is pitched up half a step or so and I can
not get that to stop.  The only way I can hear the unaltered recording is by right
clicking the wave, going to Effects ->  Time/Pitch -> Resampling/ Time Stretching
and then hitting "play original." I have Time factor set to 1, pitch set to 0, and
old and new BPM both set to 160, but it still is sped up. How do I fix this?

2) When I try to record on another track that isn't having the pitch issue, the
program will take my bass and put it only on one ear (right). I can hear it out of
both ears AS I am recording.  If I set it to mono then it does not pick up the
bass at all, even though I can still hear it through my headphones while
recording.

How do I fix both of these issues? Thank you!

@Joshua-Epstein Please check the sample rate in the project settings. If the pitch is too high you are probably recording in 44.1 kHz and playing back in 48 kHz. If this doesn't help maybe there is something broken in your program settings. You can try to reset them via the option in the Help menu.

Usually if you record in mono on a stereo track the sound should be on your left ear, not the right ear. Are your wearing your headphones the wrong way around? If you record a mono track you can select the input of your Focusrite interface that you want to record on this track in the track options. If you hear it on both ears, it could be that you are not hearing the output of Music Studio but instead you might be hearing the output of your interface?
