Photostory DVD Menu MISSING

I have recently upgraded PC to Windows 10 64 Bit. When trying to burn one of my projects - after hitting the BURN button, the menu does NOT allow me to even select a DVD drive - it simply doesn't show anything in the drop-down menus.

I have downloaded an 18mb patch, installed - and still the problem persists.

Anyone have a fix for this ?

Hi

  1. Was this an upgrade from Windows 7, 8 or 8.1?
     
  2. Is the DVD drive recognised by Windows and other programs?
     
  3. Which version of Photostory is this?

If you answer yes to 1 and 2 above then:

  • Try updating the burn routines - you may need to login using your email address and password.
     
  • If this fails then try repairing the installation by running the installer again and select the Repair option.
     
  • If this fails then try doing a clean install following this procedure - where you see any reference to MEP 2014 replace it with Photostory.

If you answer no to 2 above then

Check the DVD drive is recognised in Device manager - while holding down the Windows key press the X key - from the popup menu select Device Manager.  Under DVD/CD_ROM drives you should see the drive.

If the drive has a Yellow warning symbol then the drivers may be incorrect - right click it and select Properties, Driver tab, Update driver - this will check for newer drivers and install thm if available.

John - Thanks for your input / help. I downloaded the Burn Routines 12 Beta, installed and it now seems to be working fine. I can see my DVD drive !
