Path not found

I have just installed Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus on Windows 10 using all the deafault settings. I have opened the demo  and all the files are listed in the media window as per the tutorial. None of the Ogg files will load and bring an error window saying Path not found: \:\!. I have looked in the location and all the files are there. I have tried with all Ogg files and they all produce the same error.

Hi

Try right clicking the program short cut, point the mouse to More and select Run as administrator.

If the demo loads OK then either:-

  1. something is wrong with the permissions on the folder
     
  2. you are not the administrator of the PC
     
  3. the software was installed with a different acount.
     
  4. Windows 10 is not installed correctly or has an issue

You could try reinstalling following this procedure.  This would fix any Windows 10 issues.

Thank you for your help. Interestingly, trying to run as administrator locked the PC up requiring a restart. I have admin privileges anyway. I have solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling and not accepting the default file stores.
