Patch for Music Maker | version 29.0.4.25 ?? //

win10 / version 20H2 / build 19042.685

The patch info issued on 19/11/20 says as one of the bullet points...

New: Scan paths for VST plug-ins can now be edited in a separate dialog (via Program settings => Folders)

Well I can't see it - I've just bought the product (13/12/20) and had all sorts of trouble when selecting VSTs. I do keep my VSTs on a D: drive - as I want to reserve my small c: drive SSD for Windows 10 and very little else.

I am on 29.0.4.25 attached a pic of the folders tab within File / Settings / Program settings

I've re-installed, allowing the program to adopt the default files.

I'm still getting the program crash - selecting any VST causes a large 'box' to appear on the screen which continues to grow from left to right forever - the only way out is cntl/alt/del to get to task manager and end task.

No trouble with any of my VSTs in Reaper or Ableton

This is very disappointing for a program right now I can't use.

@Rigby-Allen

Hi,

Music Maker is free, so what did you actually purchase, Plus or Premium?

What I see in your second image is that you haven't activated Plus or Premium or downloaded and installed everything.

If you haven't activated Plus or Premium, do so now. Make sure that you are logged in to the Store first. Then, click on the Downloads button at the top right of the Media Pool. Download and install everything.

Once done, the VST path button will show up under Program Settings:

If you only bought Plus, you will not have the 32 bit bridge so you will not be able to use 32 bit Plugins.

Thanks for response. Actually I have both the FREE version on a laptop - and Premium on the desktop PC. It was the PC version I was primarily referring to. Yes, it was all about not activating the software - thanks very for pointing me in the right direction.
