Orange Vocoder effect not exported

Fungostar wrote on 12/8/2020, 8:56 AM

Hi All,

I'm trying to use the Orange Vocoder on a simple sentence, so started an empty project and recorded myself.

Applied the Orange Vocoder 4 ME to the object and tried to export the MP3, the export is fine but it's my voice, without the vocoder effect.

I'm using the very latest version of MM Premium 2021, tried applying the effect to the object and to the whole track, still it has no effect on the exported file.

What I'm doing wrong ?

Thank you,

Valerio.

@Fungostar

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I can replicate this. Insert the Vocoder to a simple (3 sec) audio track, add the Vocoder (default settings), effect heard. Go to Export as wav. effect not applied, similarly with Export as .mp3.

Even more annoyingly, return to the MM project (audio track with Vocoder still in place and active) Vocoder effect is lost!

@johnebaker, perhaps this needs to be added to the bugs list?

@Fungostar please open a Support ticket here and report this as a bug, with a reference in your report to this thread.

Thank you :)

yes, exactly what I did and exactly what happens to me, even here the settings are lost, only changing the preset does bring Orange back active.

I can add the integrated vocoder effect works perfectly.

about opening a ticket, I would do it, but I can't access that page... it redirects me to the generic help without any link to support tickets

@Fungostar

Yes, negotiating the support system is not the easiest thing to do, so well done!

Hello,

just stepping in to let you know that Magix team found a workaround for this bug:

the Vocoder works if the audio driver is set to Wave or DirectSound.

seems this partially resolves also the turn off after returning to the timeline... partially because I found it deactivated two or three times but not always.

Cheers,

Val

@Fungostar

Thank you for the update.

I have to say I do not consider that a satisfactory workaround at all! Switching Audio Drivers to be able to use the Vocoder is not ideal at all, especially if one wants or needs the low latency feature of an ASIO driver, as I do!

Hopefully, a future patch might resolve the bug more completely.

@emmrecs

Also I have a full audio rig with all drivers... let's say that at least this allows me ot export the mixdown, better than nothing at all.

Anyway the support responsible did write the bug is in now in charge to the Dev team and they will fix it, the sooner the better :)
