All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

Windows 11 v23H2 severely modified by Openshell and ExplorerPatcher

Power supply: 850W Cooler Master (should have got modular)

CPU: Intel i7 13700K running at 3400mhz, cooled by a Kraken 2x140mm All In One liquid cooler.

RAM: 64gb (2x32gb sticks) G.Skill "Ripjaws" DDR4 3200Mhz

GPU 1: iGPU UHD 770

GPU 2: NVidia RTX 3060Ti Windforce 8gb

C drive: NVME 500gb

The recorder records using MP4 to an SD card so you can use an SD card reader to copy the files directly onto your tablet.

Ray, according to the -200 manual, the video is recorded on MiniDV tape. The only way you can get video off the tape is via Firewire (or analogue capture).

Hi Al.

Last night all I could find was a manual online that said it was using an SD card. This morning the search for a manual agrees with you. On both occasions I copied and pasted the model info from the post above.

It will teach me in future to always post the link I find as well.

That is a pretty impressive tablet. As it doesn't have a Firewire port, you'll need to capture your video using the analogue outputs from your camera.

As follows:

-Plug the combined video/audio cable into the camera (at the back, low down on the left corner).

-Install the Video Wandler capture stick on your tablet (follow the installation instructions and plug it into the USB-A port [normal-sized rectangular port])

-Connect the cable from the camera to the sockets on the video wandler: use audio red and white connections and the S-video connection for video (that's the black, round multi-pin connector).

-Switch on your camera into play mode and you should have an image from the camera (set up Video Easy correctly for S-video capture).

One setting in Windows to set is permission to use your "camera". Go to:

Windows>Settings>Privacy>Camera, ensure that the options for allowing desktop apps to access your Camera are turned on.

Do the same for the Microphone.

Ota yhteyttä viralliseen Magix:n tukeen (tää on vain käyttäjien välistä neuvoa), tai jos sulla on FireWire kaapeli jossa on liitännät noille RCL-urospäät, kelt-valk-pun, (nykyään voi olla vaikeaa sellainen enää löytää) voit kokeilla niillä kytkeytyä tohon ohjelman mukana tulleeseen mustaan laatikkoon (jossa USB-liitin toisessa päässä).

Tossa yllä Alwyn" my old frend on the previous forum" :-) neuvoi että katsot myös tietokoneeltasi, että asetukset on kunnossa (Windows /Asetukset/ yksityisyys/ Kamera ja sama äänelle.

Suomen kirjastoissa saattaa onnistua myös siirto (jos et muuten onnistu), käy tarvittaessa kirjaston sivuilla niin näet missä tota (tee itse) palvelua on mahdollista tehdä

Toivottavasti sait apua. Luulen, että ongelmasi voi johtua, siitä että Windowsin registereissä kameraasi ei mainita, mielestäni sen pitäisi olla ohjelmasi kohdalla mainittu, jotta se toimii OK .

Siksi suosittelin yhteydenottoa Magix:n viralliseen tukeen

Windowsin REGedit ohjelmalla sen näkee (ainakin vanhemissa versioissa), jos sinä tai tuttavasi osaa sitä käyttää. Toi oli joskus ongelmana mun videoeditoriohjelman /Canon HV20 kanssa. Toi Canon HV20 on niin tunnettu kamera, että sitä hakemalla asiantuntija päässee selville mitä vaaditaan ton rekisterin muokkaamiseksi kamerallasei sopivaksi, eli uskon ohjelmassasi olevan tuen CanonHV20:lle.. Jos tohon ryhdytte se muokkaamaton versio ensin talteen :-)

Edit: Niin, joskus vika on niinkin yksikertainen, ettei ne kaapelit ole kunnolla pohjassa.
