Object Naming Is Broken

onium wrote on 5/23/2012, 4:11 PM

Hello,

Using Movie Edit Pro MX in Win 7 Ultimate

I should be able to change the name of an object by right-clicking on the object and selecting 'Object Properties', however after I change the object name in that dialog and close, the new name does not appear in the object within the time-line even though the new info has been entered and saved properly into the Object Properties dialogue.

Is this going to get fixed?

Does anyone have a workaround?

Thank you

Hi

Works OK here as you can see in the image.

For video clips with audio you have to rename the video section of the clip and audio portion of the clip seperately - if you select both together the rename does not work - you do not have to ungroup them.

Hmmmm,  its definitely not working here. You are using Movie Edit Pro MX with Win 7 Ultimate?

Thanks, jeremy

Hi

I am using MEP MX Premium on Win 7 Professional - in this case the version of Windows is not relevant.  The version of MEP is.

Okay, so I figured out that Object Naming is working properly in Story Board mode but the custom names disapear in Timeline Mode. Maybe this could be fixed in the future.

Thank you, jeremy

Hi

That is odd - I never use Storyboard mode and mine works OK in timeline mode as shown in my first post.
