Notation is 18 year old software and will not run on a modern OS like Windows 10 due to very significant differences between the Windows versions it was compatible with - Windows 2000 to XP and the current version of Windows.

I created an account so I could reply to this. You should be able to run it inside VirtualBox. (And if you happen to have created a .iso of the installation CD, I'd love to borrow it so I can convert my old .mnt files to midi !)

I had the files also stored as midis and I got round the problem by installing a free version of Sibelius.
