Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

Unfortunately, without a lot more detail and information from you we are highly unlikely to be able to help you! First, please read this post and answer all the questions there.

Then, tell us a lot more about your microphone (model, type, connection (USB or direct to computer), audio interface (if any), etc., etc.

Then tell us exactly how you are setting up MM to record your vocal, what settings you make (screenshots of the timeline and the Audio/MIDI tab of the Program Settings screen would be very useful) etc., etc.

Also, do be aware that MM 14 (precisely which version number and variant do you have, check under Help>About?) is now rather "old", (the current version is 25), and may well not work properly under Windows 10, if that is your operating system.

Sorry to ask so many questions but we really do need all this information if we are to have any chance of helping you.

Hi,

There is a lot more to it than pressing on record. Watch this tutorial on Getting Started.

"Instead another bar the beat shows up where I'm trying to record"

I have no idea what you mean.
