Without more information we are guessing.

What is your operating system and computer specification and are you referring to Movies on DVD 7.

If you are using Windows 7 and Movies on DVD 7 then you have old software which may not compatable with a new operating system, some parts may work and some not .  Certainly the USB device drivers will not be recognised or possibly even installed.

However it may be possible that the USB drivers available here http://support2.magix.com/customer/en/download/tools  may fix the problem - they are on page 2 select the correct ones for the USB device and operating system version.
