Nonstop "The file [file] that belongs to the movie cannot be found."

I have a Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium version 20.0.1.80, and I've been experiencing difficulties with opening my projects. I have been working on a project for a while now with no issues. There are multiple video and audio files used in this project and I haven't moved their file location, deleted, or renamed them. Yesterday, I opened the program with the intent to export the movie but as it was loading, I ran into this message.

When I click "Folder:" I see that the correct folder is brought up and the correct file name is in the bar at the bottom. I hit "Open" and it makes me continue this process for each of the video and audio items in the project. When I reach the last item, however, it wants me to locate the first item all over again!

It seems that every time I do this process, another "marker" (I think) is made next to the file.

Below is an example of the video files and the "markers" and the error message.

I know nothing about computers but I followed this post best I could.

Hi

. . . . Yesterday, I opened the program with the intent to export the movie but as it was loading, I ran into this message. . . .

Did anything change on the computer between working and not working.

If each video clip is a recording and has been edited, eg to remove ads, then you will be repeatedly asked until all parts are loaded.

If you have more than one movie (timeline) in the project then the process will be repeated until all parts are installed.

@johnebaker

Alright, so it is "fixed" now. When the error message popped up, I clicked "skip all" instead of "Folder:" and then the same error message popped up and I clicked "skip all" again. Then, 2 movies opened which is what you suggested - that there were 2 movies and I just hadn't gotten to the end.

This doesn't feel very much like a solution because it should never have presented the error message if it is able to locate all of the files, but thank you so much for your help!

@Brielle

Hi

Thanks for the feedback.

Once you have saved the project again, preferably using Save as and modifying the name, it should load correctly .
