None of the text input fields work (SF Pro 17)

I have problem with Sound Forge Pro 17.

None of the text input fields seem to do anything. For example on the down-right corner, "Selection start". If I double-click it and try to add a specific time stamp, hitting enter makes the changes disappear and it reverts to whatever it was before. Same when trying to specify millisecond-accurate timestamps with Region list markers or using Ctrl+G 'Go-to'; I can't edit them from either. This makes millisecond specific timing of edits virtually impossible.

There is no custom keyboard software etc. running and 'Enter' works everywhere else.

Here's in pictures explained what I mean, using the 'Selection start' example.

TLDR; Can't edit fields that you type in with the keyboard - hitting enter apparently works almost as 'cancel' instead of 'apply'.

Specs: Windows 11 (Fi) / Sound Forge Pro 17.02.109 / Lenovo Legion.

Thank you.

I am not sure I understand your dilemma. What editing mode are you in (i.e., normal, event, CD or other.
If you right-click the time display, set it to 'Time' which will show milliseconds. If (zero crossing) 'Snapping' is enabled, the cursor will always land on a zero-crossing waveform point,

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @PenguinDT.

Thank you.

The problem isn't snapping, it is that the typing input fields just don't work. This happens both on a fully muted empty sound and when snapping is turned off. The cursor doesn't move at all - when I hit 'enter' on any of the input fields (in 'go-to', 'region list' or anywhere else), the input field reverts to its original value.

At first I thought this was just keyboard-related - that 'enter' doesn't work, but after testing this more last evening it turns out the mouse slider next to the value (see the image) doesn't work either - it doesn't affect the values in the input field at all. Turning snap on/off doesn't seem to affect his at all.

My biggest problem is that it affects the region list markers as well. If I go to the edit markers view and try to set a position, it is impossible since I can't apply the changes. I use the region list to create a 'timeline' for my projects and not being able to edit these any more makes things very difficult.

The sounds I'm editing are simple 16-bit mono Windows Wave files.

Hi @PenguinDT, I do not recall reports of this issue in any verson of SF, so it may be an isolated occurrence.
Try resetting Sound Forge and clearing the cache. 'File> "Reset all preferences and clear cached data".
