If you mean you cannot hear any audio from other programs while Music maker is running - this is by design - to reduce latency (delays) in the audio the program must have direct and sole control of the audio card.
You can change the audio settings in the program to use the wave driver, however this then introduces other issues eg when recording.
If the above is not what you mean then we need more information about when you are not hearing anything.
I just bought and installed the music maker and am having the same issue. To clarify, I cannot hear any of the templates, no sounds from the keyboard, nothing. I am able to hear fine from other things on my computer (i.e., internet, saved videos and songs (not loaded to or from music maker). It is as if the software itself is not allowing me hear anything. Please provide some troubleshooting tips/ideas.
Try these audio settings these are for a Realtek HDA audio, if you do not have a Realtek then you should have similar settings available when yo click the Advanced button.:
Note:
if you are audio recording from, for example, a microphone/guitar etc, after you have recorded you must turn off (disarm) the AUDIOREC button on the track you recorded on before you can hear what was recorded.
Music Maker takes over control of the audio card, when using the ASIO settings, and locks out other programs from using it - this is normal and is to minimise latency.
