No Sound Wave?

I'm using Magix pro 16 and whenever I drap a video file down to edit, the sound is there but the "sound wave" isn't visable. This is important because I use the sound wave to be precise when I edit a video... please help!

There are two things...

1. Right click on the wave portion and go to "Create Wave Form" or...

2. Left Click to highlight the wave portion of the video and press on the "Alt - Shift - W" keys at the same time.

The wave files are not shown to save on resources for the editing of video.
