Which version of MMM are you using (year and basic or Premium)?
See this thread and view the tutorial indicated therein.
Not all of the sounds available on the keyboard are linked to the pads. I think that some of the ones on the keyboard are duplicates. What I hear when playing the duplicates is that they sound the same or almost, so I'm not really sure.
thanks man for answering, i thought that i had put down what edtion i have and it is magix music maker premium 2014 , i dont know what version. i've down loaded the latest update as of yet, you look cool man, thanks again, i hope to hear back from you.
Here are the steps to be able to play the pads on your computer keyboard. I have tested this in MMM, not 2014.
Add the Drum Engine to track 1. If the default midi file appears, delete it.
Right-click on track 1, Create a new object, Create a new midi object, Empty (8 bars). This creates a blank midi object on track 1, 8 bars long. You can extend it or reduce it as you wish by dragging the right end.
Double-click on the blank midi object to open the midi editor. You can leave it as the piano or click on the drum icon at the top.
Press on PgDn 2 times and now the bottom key will be N and not |. M should correspond to C1 that you see on the midi keyboard. You will have to learn the positions of the other pads - you can see what they are on the keyboard image below and on your on-screen keyboard.
To record, press on REC in the midi screen and start playing. You might want to turn on the metronome to get your beats in the right place.
Here are the screen shots showing what corresponds to what.
