@Killavolt

Hi

Download and install MediaInfo and point it to the video you are trying to import, post the results from the Tree view (copy and paste) this will tell what is going on.

Additionally which variant, Basic, Plus or Premium, of Movie Edit Pro (MEP) and version number as found under Help, About are you using ?

Premium.

I'll download the tool.... I have had this issue only once before and it fixed itself somehow.
I haven't changed anything about the formats or anything of the videos I record and edit.

This is the format from my camera, and the one I've been using without any issue until today.

@Killavolt

Hi

Thanks for the MediaInfo.

More questions I'm afraid:

What is the version number of MEP as found under Help, About? There is a known issues with some versions of MEP and video clips with Dolby encoded audio.

Has the program been updated between working and not working?

. . . . I have had this issue only once before and it fixed itself somehow . . . .

Is the camera recording in the default Dual Video REC mode ie recording both MP4 and AVCHD file format simultaneously?

If so have you tried the MP4 version of the video file?

I actually haven't updated until today. But now it's working.
I updated it once, and it didn't work, and then it said there was an update again, and that seems to be the update that did it.

I just find it weird that I was able to use it for like 2 years or so, then suddenly with no changes it stopped working.....then it did work, with no changes, and then stopped working again.......

@Killavolt

Hi

Thanks for the feedback. Pleased to hear you are back up and working.

Regarding the camera recording format, I would suggest you record in the MP4 h.264 AAC audio option if you can instead of the Dolby AC3 audio format to avoid potential issues.
