Hi Chris,

Make sure to the check the specific audio driver configuration you're currently using in the program, and maybe experiment a little with the driver types and settings. In order to do this, open the main program settings screen within Samplitude Music Studio, e.g. by pressing the hotkey "Y". There are really two versions of the settings window, between which you can toggle - the simplified "Easy setup" one, and a more advanced, detailed version. In the "Easy setup" screen, the driver system will be your very first item on the list. Via the drop-down menu you can choose between the different supported driver architectures and devices, like ASIO, WASAPI and MME. For most intents and purposes, you probably want to be using ASIO - either the native ASIO drivers provided by your sound card manufacturer, or a generic ASIO driver like the "Magix Low Latency" one installed with Samplitude Music Studio.

However, that's not all yet. After you have e.g. picked a suitable ASIO driver, click the "Settings" button right under that drop-down menu to configure the ASIO driver to use the correct physical device/output on your system. Right now, you may e.g. be accidentally sending the output to the headphones of your USB headset, when you're actually expecting to hear the output via the speakers plugged into your sound card, or vice versa. So, make sure the settings make sense. For the generic ASIO drivers "Magix Low Latency" or "ASIO4ALL", the physical device that you want to output to needs to be highlighted via the little "POWER ON" button in front of the item in the list of WDM devices.

I hope this info helps!
