I made a mistake recording a weding in 1920 x 1080hd on my camcorder. when I drop this onto my timeline i have no sound. I have even burnt a cd to see if i had any sound. The only sound I have is if I  import any music. If I load any of my previous video clips not in 1920 x 1080 hd it works fine. I take it i might need to convert the format or can magix do this, I am using Magix movie edit pto on my windows pc using windows 7.  If i play the clips direct from my computer using windows media i have sound. If I do need to convert it do you know what programme is worth investing in. Regards Richard

Hi Richard,

I can't solve your problem but I can tell you how to make it more likely that someone will able to help you. Provide more detailed information. Start with the post at the top of this link:

http://www.magix.info/uk/forum/1-all-about-magixs-programs/10-movie-edit-pro-video-pro-x/#/topics/?page=1

The most important item is the detail of the file. What type, what frame rate, etc? Use MediaInfo to find out. This could well be a codec issue, which such details will help establish.

It's also important to state the version of MEP you're using.

Should external conversion prove necessary, one program that I've used successfully is SUPER, but there are many others. Have you used the Search tool on the right yet?
