No sound coming from Midi

I purchased a Alesis Q49 MKII.  However it does not play any sound in Magix Music Maker Premium.  When I select the keyboard and try and play, the keys light up, but there is no sound.  I can record something and play on the keyboard and when I playback the recording I can hear sounds. I was able to connect it without any problems.  Please see the attachment for the Program Settings -> Audio/MIDI settings. There is another setting MIDIOUT2 (Q49 MKII) & MIDIIN2 (Q49 MKII) as well.  I have tried all of these setting and also tried it with nothing in the Output device.

Use an ASIO driver such as Magix Low Latency, rather than direct sound. Also certainly don't set the Q49 as an output device.

Thank you for your solution. It did work, but the sound from my midi is not very loud but when I play the Magix Keyboard in Music Maker it is loud. Any suggestions for that?

This is probably down to the velocity settings on the Alesis keyboard. I've found that the Magix synths especially are quite sensitive. Therefore unless you press the keys quite hard and quick volume can be low. The velocity settings on the Alesis might be adjustable. I can see that they are on some Alesis keyboards.

@Dean-Herold

Hi

. . . . but the sound from my midi is not very loud . . . .

Try adjusting the velocity/volume settings in the Alexis if available.
