No live sound from midistart usb keyboard, but it records ok?

I purchased MM 2014 Premium complete with miditech midistart music usb keyboard for my daughter.  She couldn't get live sound from the keyboard, so she gave it to me to look at.  I'm now running the trial version of this software on my pc and I'm getting the same thing.  It records ok, the playback sound is good, but there is no live sound, so you don't know what you're playing!  As I'm new to digital music and MM, I would appreciate any answers being like an idiot's guide!

Hi,

Go to the tutorials and look at the tutorial about connecting a keyboard. Look at some of the recent previous posts here about sound problems. You will have to play with the settings in Music Maker including the driver that probably came with the keyboard, and the Windows playback settings to get everything synchronized. You may have the sound trying to go to a monitor with earphones. You will have to become familiar with these settings as you may have to go back and forth depending on what you are doing.

After taking a look at the tutorial and other posts, let me know if you still have problems and I or someone else will try to help more. I will be reconnecting my keyboard tomorrow and probably going through the same process.

Good luck!
