No LIVE Monitoring when using MIDI Controller?

Hello,

I am new to Music Maker. Coming from Mac I'm used to plug and play... but I'm abandoning Mac and moving to PC for price reasons.

I am VERY impressed with Music Maker. It's intuitive and it has good audio results.

But I am having trouble getting a LIVE Monitor of my ALESIS V61. It is set up properly. When I record it yields results. But I am unable to set up the LIVE monitor of the MIDI Controller. I see the keys light up when I play the controller... but no monitoring.

Can I get a suggestion on how to remedy this?

Hi, check the Music Maker audio and midi settings.
You should choose asio drivers for your sound card (here on the forum you will find many posts explaining how to do this).
On the midi tab, make sure your keyboard is selected.
When you record audio, click on the "rec" symbol and you should already be able to hear the input signal (your sound card must have monitoring); the same for midi only you should see "midi rec" appear on the track.
When you have recorded, disable recording for the track to listen to the results.
