i just purchasde MEP 2013 premium since the magix support group said that my MEP 17 is not compatible with windows 8 and i was advised that i have to upgrade it, they said that's the reason i cannot burn dvd's with the MEP 17. with the new MEP 2013 my dvd burner was listed  so i was  able  to burn several projects. now my burner is not listed anymore so i'm back  with the same problem with MEP 2013 premium.

Hi

Looks like Windows 8 may have 'lost' the drive.

Does it reappear in MEP 2013 after rebooting the computer?

Can you see the drive in Windows Explorer ?

Does the drive appear under DVD/CD-ROM drives in Device Manager ?

Depending on how tech savvy you are this may also help

Do this at your own risk.
