No audio when previewing clips from media pool. Audio is there when placed in time line. Video pro X6

I am using Video Pro X6 in windows 8 and have imported hd footage. When I play this in source monitor to trim I get no audio. If the whole clip is placed in the project timeline audio is there,

No problem here with mts, mp4 or HD mov files.

What options do you have set for Audio in the programs settings?

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I will have a look at the setting and let you know. I thought it maybe because I used proxy files at first. but if I find the files direct I get no sound still.
