Hi there,

No audio in the file whatsoever? Any chance your composition is based exclusively on MIDI notes, and you're routing those MIDI tracks to the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth (by having no VSTi selected as output for those tracks)? This would explain how you could hear something when playing back within the program, but not have any content in the mixed down MP3 file. You'd need to make sure to assign a suitable VST software instrument to those MIDI tracks. This can then actually be mixed down to a file, instead of just sounding via the real-time playback engine. That having been said, if that's the situation in your arrangement, the program *should* give you a little warning when trying to trigger the MP3 export. However, you can override that warning and still mix down. Voilà - you got yourself a silent MP3 file.

Also, here's another idea, based on previous support cases: Where/when did you listed to the exported MP3 file to establish that it's silent/empty? It may just be the system playing tricks on you. Please keep in mind that Music Maker is running on ASIO drivers by default. These secure exclusive access to the sound hardware resources for Music Maker. So, this would effectively block other applications from interfacing properly with the sound hardware and generating audio output while Music Maker is running. If you tried to play back your exported MP3 file in the player application of your choice right after the mixdown, when Music Maker was still running, it could have caused this conflict, and given you the illusion that there's no audio in the file. Try listening to the file again when Music Maker is not running, and you may realise that everything is fine.
