No Audio Track available after import WMV file

i like to importe a normal WMV file for editing, but the audio track is not shown. In other Video Editing SW and Windows Media Players works fine. Is there a special import configuration needed ?

Which Magix software are you attempting to import the WMV?

I do nto know anything special that needs to be done in Magix Movie Edit Pro, it would simply load in the content that is contained in the file, unless the file itself is in someway proprietary.

thanks john-auvil for your answer. I use the Magix Video Deluxe MX SW.

we try to run an example file from the Tutorial folder of the SW itself. its not running with sound as well.

any other suggestions ?

Is this true for all video or just the video from the tutorial folder?

Basically, does the program playback any video where the sound is also heard?

thanks for your answer john-auvil. No nothing is special and I agree, there is nothing to specify additionally. but im in touch with the Magix Online support. I dont know if they can solve this simple problem...
