NewBlueFX Color Fast Bundle not available to download anymore

ovisopa wrote on 11/11/2015, 10:29 AM

Hello guys,

I reinstalled the OS on my pc (upgrade to Win10) and installed Magix 2015 premium but now in the Free download menu there's no Color Fast plugin, only Titler (which I never used)\

I installed the color fast plugin by downloading the setup file from this link but I can not activate it with my magix serial, when I bought Magix this was one of the reason to get the premium vs the other versions which costs half the premium price.

http://www.magix.info/ref.php?lng=de&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.newbluefx.com%2Fdownloads%2FWindows%2FNewBlueColorFastForWindowsCSetup30.exe&h=0f42deb21cf67864bc28

How to get it working ?

I have a project that I started with my previeous OS and used the Mechanize template and now I can't continue it because of this :(

Hi,

Are you sure that Colorfast came with 2015 Premium. I have 2015 Premium, but not ColorFast did not come with it. I have others but not that one. Did it maybe come with 2014 Premium (which I don't have)?

Maybe someone else knows.

I checked now, my license was purchased on 24 june 2015, the project file I started to work at was created after that date as I shot some scenes in late august.

I definately had the ColorFast plugin as now when I wanted to continue the work on that project I got an error when I tried to open the project file as the "newbluefx_colorfast_bundle.vsx" was not available.

I very sure it was included, when did you try to Download ColorFast plugin ? now or a few months back ?

Hi

@ John CB

The NewBlue ColorFast is in my MEP 2015 Premium as you can see below:

I have also checked the Free download option and the NewBlue ColorFast is not in the list anymore.

@ ovisopa

. . . . I reinstalled the OS on my pc (upgrade to Win10) . . . .

Was this a clean install ie the hard drive was reformatted and the Windows 10 installed or was the Windows 10 an upgrade from 7 or 8?

The link you have posted for the download does not resolve to a download for ColorFast.

When you installed the free downloadsin the previous installation you are asked if you want to keep the files for future re-installation - did you do this amd if you saved them did you back them up to disc?

Thanks John for your message, I knew I had that ColorFast plugin before!

About the reinstall of my OS, I did the free upgrade and it didn;t worked so good, after a few weeks  in which I wanted to crush my PC everyday because it was so slow, and shouldn't be (it has SSD, it has 16Gb of ram .. an i7.. I also purchased a GTX video card only in hope it will run better, but it didn't) .. in the end I chosed the option RESET THIS PC and format the C drive, I did not saved the instalation files because I knew I could download the setup files as always, but this time it didn;t worked :(

Can you save the ColorFast setup file and upload on a free sharing server or on dropbox/google drive ? .. I'll be very thanksfull for this :D

PS. Today I'm trying to finish that project, and remake the color grading with the tools available in magix .. so far I made the first 30 - 40 seconds .. 2 minutes to go :)

Hi

. . . . Can you save the ColorFast setup file and upload on a free sharing server . . . .

Unfortunately not - I do not retain the installation files - I do all my backing up in a different way so I can revert / restore my computer quickly back to set points in the event of hardware or software failure.

Below is a screen shot of my NB plugins in MEP2016 Premium.

The only installation file that I have for NB with MEP2016 Premium is:

Video_deluxe_2016_Premium_NewBlue_ActionCam_Package_INT_150827_19-30_1_0_0_0

and Color Fast is not installed.

I did not upgrade right away and maybe there was more included by accident. The advert said only that ActionCam came with Premium. Could this be the case? Are there any others that were included that I don't have?

If not, maybe I should ask Magix.

I am not sure which ones came with which product anymore. I should always keep a record of the adverts.

Hi

@ JohnCB

Do you still have MEP 2014, 2013 or MX with the ColorFast plugin, still installed on the same computer?

I suspect that MEP 2015 may have picked up the effect from previous versions, however if you still have the previous versions installed with the effect and MEP 2016 has not picked it up then my suspicion could be false.

The plugin on my system is located in C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Common\VfxPlugins and was installed in 2013.

I only had the Plus versions of 17, MX, 2013 and 2014, so I didn't get the goodies. I only started the Premium version with 2015. There were no NB effects that came with VPX6 either. So that explains why I don't have NB Color Fast.

Thanks,

As far as I know Colourfast came with MEP2014 Premium but that is 32 Bit so I would not imagine it would work with MEP2015/16 which are 64Bit.

I did not get Colourfast with my 2015 version of MEP.

It did, however I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions both installed 1 minute apart.

The odd thing is they are on the same  installation date as MEP 2013 was installed which did not have the ColorFast plugin !

Hi John EB

It did, however I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions both installed 1 minute apart.

I just checked with the New Blue Titler EX that installed with MEP2015 on my 64bit Surface Pro, and it appears to have done the same thing and installed in the x64 and x86 program files virtually simultaneously.

So it seems most likely the OP's access to Colourfast was a hangover from an earlier version's bundled Effect plugin installation that was wiped when the OS was clean installed.

Yes , I had 2014 installed .. probably I got the color fast from there but not realy sure.

So there nobody around to have the instalation files fo the color fast that came with MEP 2014?

Hi

. . . . I had 2014 installed . . .

Re-install 2014 and download the ColorFast extra retaining the installation file - you should then have access to ColorFast in MEP 2015.
