newblue light blends

I'm evaluating Movie Edit Pro MX Premium download version, and it looks like I'm missing something. There is very little there - just one movie template, no backgrounds etc  As this program is now, it is not so great.  I'm leaning towards deleting it and trying something else.

I went to HELP>Install Extra Programs>NewBlueFX Light Blends

but got an error message that they need to be downloaded first.

So went  to HELP>Free Download but the only checkbox there for me to download is the introductory videos.

Did that, & the videos are no help - I need to know where to go for downloading the effects and light blends.

maureen,

I think the 'add ons', particularly those that are under license from third party manufacturers, are only available after you purchase MEP. You might be able to get a demo version direct from LightBlueFX that would let you evaluate their effects even if it doesn't immediately integrate seamlessly with your Magix program.

MEP gets my top marks of any video editor at or anywhere near its price range. IMHO judge it on it's flexibility and range of tools (do do what you want) rather than the length of the list of presets and templates.

Regards,

Carl

Hello Maureen,

I have disk version of MEP MX, but I downloaded MEP 17+ in 2010. As far as I remember, maybe after having registered (?)  at Magix, I downloaded free about 4 gigabytes of extras, such as more templates, DVD menues, titles, fades etc.

Regards A.

Hello Maureen,

I faced the same problem.
Has installed premium trial, registered it. And see no cool stuff, and only option to download introductory videos.
What was the result of your research - did you get free stuff within a trial?

Alex
