So, I’ve searched around the forums in case my issue already had a fix, but sadly couldn’t find anything that worked for my situation.
As a brief rundown of my issue - I’ve been using Movie Studio 14 for many years without any issues. At the weekend though, I finally caved in and purchased the upgrade to Movie Studio 2023 Suite (through Magix website) which came with the NewBlueFX bundle: Stylizers 5 Ultimate, and Essentials 5 Ultimate.
I installed Movie Studio Suite 2023 without issue, and followed the install instructions to the letter (that came in my purchase email) on how to input the NewBlueFX bundle codes within Movie Studio itself (through “Activate Content Packs”). I then downloaded them, AND registered them in the NewBlueFX app that pops up after installation.
Both FX packs show as registered in the NewBlueFX app…yet when I launch Movie Studio Suite 2023, they show as needing to be downloaded again, despite all being listed under the effects tab, and if I try to use any of them, there’s a red cross through the video preview…so I’m guessing Movie Studio doesn’t think I’ve registered them and is running the in demo mode…even though the NewBlueFX app says I own them.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the FX multiple times, signing out of the NewBlueFX App, restarting my PC etc but, I’m going around in circles with the same results.
Interestingly, if I launch my old version of Movie Studio 14, the new effects pack show there too and don’t have the watermark/red cross through them!! Huh?!
I’m honestly at a loss at how to make them work in MSS2023 though...which is why I purchased the upgrade in the first place! Any advice would be very gratefully received!
