New Update causing major issues to ACID version 8

ryan-risley wrote on 10/30/2020, 3:50 PM

Cannot save any project files - tells me drive doesn't have enough space but there is over 9 TB available.

Crashes a lot with multiple errors when using program and performing various functions.

Was working perfectly fine before the update!!!

Hi

. . . . Please fix ASAP - was working perfectly fine before the update!!! . . . .

This is a user to user forum not Magix Support, so we cannot fix anything.

This is becoming a common issue and may have nothing to do with the software.

Check that the folder you are writing to is not controlled by your Antivirus (AV) Ransomware/Protected folders etc function.

Are the folders you are writing to inside the Documents folder or on another drive?

If they are not then you may have to add an exception for Acid in your AV?

My apologies, I was in a bit of a stressful state after having emails to Magix not go through.

I do not run AV software. I have been using ACID since Sony first launched it and purchased Pro 7 and then 8 from Magix. I have never had a single issue until this last update which is causing a myriad of problems.

Nothing has changed on this computer with exception of the update - in which the problems started immediately upon installing.

Hi

. . . . I do not run AV software . . . .

Does that mean you have no 3rd party Antivirus software installed and you have permanently disabled, which should be impossible, Windows Defender ?

With no 3rd party AV installed then Windows Defender, by default, is your AV/Firewall in which case the Ransomware Protection fix is still the potential cause of the issues.
