The new Release, number 138, fixies the file menu error.

Thank-you @JoaoBC for that information. That is good news for all the Sound Forge Pro 14 users out there.

FWIW, the Build 138 release notes state:

- Fixed the randomly disappearing file menu
- New Shortcuts for the Data Window
Shift + Alt + E, D - Edit Tool (Ctrl + D is still available too)
Shift + Alt + E, E - Event Tool
Shift + Alt + E, M - Magnify Tool
Shift + Alt + E, N - Envelope Tool
Shift + Alt + E, P - Pencil Tool
