New Photostory 2022 constant crashes

I got a new computer with an intel core i7 and iRis xe graphics. upgraded my photostory software to the newest version and it is essentially useless. I open the program and I get a crash notice.

Try to close the program, I get a crash notice, I select close program, which then closes and reopens the program, where I get a crash notice. I haven't really tried to do anything in the program because these crash notices are so annoying.

I've checked for updates and there are none.
