Thanks for the info as I see you are also on Win 10 Pro. I have tried restarting the computer with the same results. I've also ensured my virus scanner is not active on those folders. Every other plugin from that suite works. I'm just glad I have finished doing my animated logo for 2025 with it. I may as a last resort try a roll back later.

As an aside on Windows updates. Has anyone read this?

@CubeAce Yep, I've nothing blocking, I've basic firewall & security stuff that all has MMs etc. as excluded from checks. I avoid using any windows type AI, OneDrive or pretty much anything beyond basic PC 'stuff' 🤷‍♂️

You have VP21, in there you can open NB on the clip or as a Mediagenerator that doesn't need a background clip & render as a transparent ProRes. 🤔

Hi Gid.

Tried in VP21 and practically the same happened but after closing down the whatever it was screen there was something left behind that was not editable. Also a few clues in Task Manager perhaps. This is above my pay grade.

@CubeAce Hi, hmm, I don't know what the edge web stuff is in your pic, I don't get any of that, I don't log into the VP Hub tho I don't know if you have, @Reyfox might know more. (Prob should be a VP forum thing tho 🙊😂)

When you add NB as a Media Generator you add it to a separate track, you don't need anything else on the timeline, (maybe not always, there's more than one way to skin a cat in VP) , the way you've got it you're doubling up the objects in that space on the timeline & poss messing with VP/NB's heads... NB is also in the Video FX list, that one does need adding to an object on the timeline but the title will be the length of the object you've added it to so you'd have to shorten it in NB titler. .

When adding as a Media Generator the little blue button you hovered over adjusts the text object's length & it's keyframed movement.... stuff..

Imagine you have an object on the timeline that you have put a keyframe at the beginning & one at the end for whatever reason, then you've shortened the object on the timeline, the keyframe at the end might get left behind, clicking that button adjusts the keyframes to fit the new object length.

It's easier to see this happening if you add a Title & Text object that has 'movement', shorten the object on the timeline & the motion doesn't fulfil it's outgoing manoeuvre, clicking that button moves/fits/adjusts everything within the new text object length. Same for if you increase it's length, the object will loop which is shown by a little black triangle at the top of the object, clicking that button adjusts this into one object that doesn't loop.

The Microsoft Edge WebView2 is a feature that allows software makers to embed web technologies, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript into their software to communicate with web based features such as the Magix Store and Hub.

If WebView 2 is 'removed' or blocked from accessing the Internet then the program may freeze, or features using it fail to work.

You should find it is active/idling in Task manager:

@johnebaker Hi, nope, nothing 'WebView' on my PC, Taskmanager, Search, Programs .. nowhere. When I install software I normally allow it to install everything assuming it needs that stuff to work properly & as I'm not sure what it is I won't have uninstalled it.

I have in the past logged into the VP Hub but almost immediately signed out, I'm not interested in anything in there. I've used the Magix Store (I think), when I installed everything on this PC 4yrs or so ago I had to install the freebies I'd got in the past with MEP/MMS so I'm not sure if that was Store stuff. I have Microsoft Edge & have occasionally opened it or something I've clicked on has opened it but no WebView to be found. 🤷‍♂️

PS. I never get any warnings that indicate anything related to missing features such as that & all my software works as it should (allowing for & taking into account bugs n crap in the software etc. 😂)

Webview should be installed in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\ version number

It cannot be uninstalled by 'normal' means, there are 'hacks' to do so, however any software that uses the feature is crippled.

@johnebaker I've got that file in Explorer but going through online 'find WebView' options I've still got no sign of it, I suspect it's either not installed, hasn't been activated or.. whatever 🤷‍♂️ I'm not going to take it further, everything works fine as is 👍

Yes, WebView2 is essentially installed alongside Microsoft Edge, as the WebView2 Runtime is considered a part of the Edge browser and is automatically installed when you install Edge, meaning you don't need to install them separately; however, it's important to note that WebView2 is a separate component that only provides the web rendering capabilities within applications, not the full Edge browser functionality itself

I don't really use Edge, as said it has opened & just did as I was going through Search help options, I also don't use online things in apps I have, Adobe AE & a few of it's additional bits of software could be 'internet friendly' but that doesn't seem to have activated anything, Adobe is Apple tho.

@Gid, love your videos showing what you are talking about. And yes, that M$ Edge "Webview" is from the Hub if you are logged in. I always am. I do like some of the music and have found, surprisingly, some stock footage of places in Poland.

@CubeAce screenshot below is of TP7 and I haven't experienced the issue that you showed. Everything displays as it should using it as an FX. My build is 241127. My GPU driver is up to date. Also curious, what if you run TP7 as a standalone?

@CubeAce I just tried it in VPX14 and it works, albeit not smoothly at all. Scrolling the timeline where the TP7 is used is horribly slow to respond. Lots of "preloading" with every move of the playhead.

If I wanted to use it in VPX, I'd run the standalone and create the title, save it and Export as a Movie File, then bring it into VPX and use it.

Maybe this solution for NB TP7 in Vegas will help with MMS/VPX.

Hi guys.

I really appreciate the efforts you have all gone to and tried all recommendations.

To cut a long story short and save uploading lot of jpgs and a few short videos I made.

I have tried everything suggested here to no avail. The Suggestion on the Vegas forum has just resulted in Titler not now responding of even trying to launch in VPX, Vegas or VPX. So I even put that dll file back but no go. It is still trying to open in stand alone and getting stuck at the same point as before. It's as if the program is not fully loading before launching. The opening splash screen only shows for about two seconds before the white screen comes up and freezes. No other effects have been affected.

As I said, I managed to finish my video logo for 2025 and have it in enough sections to change the year or speed or a few other variations if need be and I don't upgrade or find another solution so it's not a game changer.

John EB's suggestion I found similar to Gid's findings. It really doesn't seem to come up except as Reyfox observed that the webview only activates when hub is opened which I have never used. No effect seems to trigger it.

It is clunky and slow to render within itself so not the biggest loss and I have other methods open to me.

Thanks for all your efforts but I don't want to waste anyone else's time on this. It's time to put this to bed for now.
