never thought I'd see the day.....

.......that attempts to get support for a product could get any worse than from Sony. but Magix trumps anything Sony ever did. I purchased a product two days ago (SFP11 365 version) and needed support for an issue.

I go to the website and navigate to support.

I enter my question.

I'm told I need to buy a support voucher because my last registered product is too old.

I figure I need to register the new product.

upon trying I'm told the new product is registered.

I figure I used a different street and email address to purchase the product.

upon trying to update my information I'm told that every email address I enter is already used and I should pick a new one or use the former identity.

WTF!?!?!? I can't get support for a new product because it's not registered, even though it is registered. I can't change a critical piece of information in my profile because all my email addresses are "used."

I go back to SF4 and Sonic Foundry. but if I have to move elsewhere (and take an entire enterprise's worth of business with me) I will. Effin' ridiculous...

I created a support ticket and followed up thrice in the last week. Still haven't heard anything from Magix support. (I am trying to reinstall Sound Forge for Mac, and the download link is not available on the website anymore). Considering this support experience I am not even sure I would purchase or even upgrade any product from Magix.
