I'm pretty sure your Firewall blocks the download. Add an exception role for the installer or disable the firewall temporarily.

ok so get this...

I checked in Settings/widows security/virus & threat protection/ransomware protection and sure enough the download manager/installer was trying to do something in my profile folders and windows was blocking it. attempts to unblock the folders failed nor was allowing programs through working either.

I had to disable controlled folder access for the install to work. so uh yeah it installed. thanks.

I would still like the offline installer for when magix goes out of business.

@TheFlinx The files are stored under C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents\Magix Downloads\Installationsmanager

But you need an online connection to unlock the software, there is no offline activation for Sound Forge.

thank you I got the files, it's not that I want to install the files without internet it's that I want the files. because of the issues I was having.

Look in the location which @SP. gave you. All the installation files will be there and can be copied to wherever you want to store them.
