need help installing magix movie edit pro 14plus on windows seven. when i try to install i get this message "edit pro 14plus installation cannot be executted on unknown. to continue please install another windows version.

Version 14 isn't officially supported to run on Win 7, all you can do is experiment around with compatibility settings, or if you have a certain version of Win 7 (I think Professional or higher) you can try XP mode.
