Need Clarification on Legal Stuff.

Okay, I'll make this short.

A friend of mine ordered a complete set of magix music maker along with the volumes and stuff. He gave it to me as a gift. He received the package and sent it to me. I'm not sure what he did prior to that.

Now that I have it, what exactly am I allowed/not allowed to do?

I know I cant sell the songs I splice together
I know I cant make money from using magix spliced music and all

however, I've seen some films and albums that came from magix and are being sold.

Now I'm confused. I'm no legal expert and I was hoping I get things cleared here.

tl;dr:

What exactly am I allowed to do?

What exactly am I not allowed to do?

Can the answers be in bullet form so that I wouldnt get confused. A Straight to the point answer is very much encouraged.
