My Terratec Grabby does not save the video

I cannot get the Terratec Grabby to work on my laptop. I use Windows 8. The Magix program recognize the device ok and I can see the video running in the window. I press the capturing button, it shows the device is capturing ok, but nothing is ever saved on my computer. The file is completely empty! I have read your questions and answers and I found a similar problem, but your answer did not help me, because I have never reached the point where I should register the codec, as your advice was, because the program does not even let me save my project. I have bought my Terratec Grabby two weeks ago. Maybe I should return it as not working?

Hi

. . . . The Magix program . . . .

Which program and version?

. . . . because I have never reached the point where I should register the codec . . . .

Some codecs do not need activating / registering - if a codec has not been activated and is required then you will be asked to register / activate it..
