I was working on a song when my sytem crashed.I now get this message when i try to open the file. is there anyway i can rescue the song i was working on?

when I click on the project icon, MM opens up< but the track arranger page that has all the tracks on it opens for about 1 second then closes down so i only have the remaining file page and smaller box containing soundpools etc remaining.

I am sorry if I did not understand properly your problem. I think you want to open your project and facing problem. In that case there two options which might help you.

1. Instead use Project file (mmm) try to locate BAK file in the folder where your projects are saved. The title of the BAK file will also be the same as your project file. How to open BAK file?

File/Load arrangement (refer screen shot below)

Choose All files and browse the folder for the required file. If you found any open it and when you think everything is fine save it quickly as project file with new name.

2. When Music Maker crash it also save crash file. In my case I am using windows vista

C: User/All users/Magix/Music Maker (version) inside folder USER DATA/CRASH (this folder keep crash file) by knowing date and time you can double click and open. If you find everything is fine please save it with new name, Please note folder path might be different  in your case if you are using other operating system. If your User folder is hidden in that case TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/SHOW/SHOW FILE AND FOLDERS if hidden choose show.

Hope above information might be helpful.

***Please keep your Music Maker updated.
