Hi

Did you create a Playlist for the CD?

See pages 64 - 67 in the installed PDF manual for more information.

. . . . my file names specify the track numbers . . . . .

Filenames are ignored in deciding the play order

. . . . but the data base is not showing the complete file names . . . .

Filenames are restricted to the number and type of characters that can be used.

hi john, yes i created a playlist, but the database was faulty. as you say the program does not recognise file names when importing folders into the database. it uses the titles. so what i did was to go into the folders and select the files one by one and right click them and go into properties then details then highlight the title and amend it manually into a form like folder name + track number.eg vol-12 TRACK 01, etc for each of the 101 tracks. then when i imported the folders into the data base everything was in the right order.and so the play list was also created in the right track order. long-winded or what. but it worked.

thanks dougie
