I have purchased 4 acid pro (ver 4,5,6,7) , my computer hard drive died, I do not know where the serial numbers are, and I do not see the products under my profile. Questions. What really happened when magix took over software (i think the records should have been moved from sony to magix), will I have to re-register, can i call sony media software center for those records.

From what I remember, everything got moved over to Magix. I re-registered Acid Pro 4 over to Magix account and it came over but Acid Pro 7 was the trouble. I tried re-registering but Magix account says its already registered but doesn't show up in the account. And I don't have the patience to try to contact Magix support as thats a run around and the worst customer support I have had out of all the software companies I have dealt with to-date. So, good luck, man.

Thanks for input, I was thinking of upgrading, not so certain now with customer/technical support I have experienced so far.

Ya its a dicey situation with Magix support, man. But Acid is a great DAW, but being the stage it is at right now, I would try out the 30 day trial and see if its stable enough for you before you spend your hard earned cash.
