My MIDI keyboard doesnt work

Hey!

So I bought MMP2017 and a akai MPK mini 2. I installed MM and connected my midi keyboard. All worked fine. Then I went to settings and choosed direct sound (tried the others to now) and put my midi as input. So MM recognised my keyboard. Then i Closed settings and tried to use it ut it didnt work. So no sound comes when I play a key. But if I press with my mouse on the virtual instrument a sound comes. So what am I doing wrong? I use win10 on a laptop.

Try switching back to the Asio driver in the settings box. That's what my mini, and other MIDI keyboards use.

Yea I did that, doesn't work...

Did you put the track you were using into "Record" mode? I think you have to do that in order to hear it.
