My Magix Pro created videos will not play on Windows Media Player after Windows 8 upgrade.  Any way to correct this?

All my previously created Magix videos in my files will not play in Media player, Quicktime or real player.  Is there a problem with the codec?  I tried creating new videos and have the same problem.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi

What format did yu export the videos as and what settings did you use?

If they are avi, mov or mp4 then use GSpot to analyse the video to find out what codec is used for the video and sound, GSpot will also tell you if the codecs are installed on your computer.

Use the buttons shownin this image to check the video can be rendered

If they ae present then you will get a response like this

Otherwise you will get error messages .

Windows Media Player will need access to the Internet to download codecs the first time they are needed, check this is not blocked.
