My Acid Pro 6.0 keeps asking to register

I have Acid Pro 4.0 and the 6.0 upgrade. System is Windows 10 Home 64bit with i59600k. I tried to install on my new computer with my software CD's and all went well except for when I went to register my Acid Pro 6.0, it shows that the software registered, but every time I try to open it, it keeps asking me to register, which has rendered the software unusable. I uninstalled all Acid software and just did the download from the Magix website, but got the same result. I did notice a couple things; The 4.0 worked when I installed from the CD. Also, I noticed that when the software registers, its saying it's registering with Sony. Any idea what I need to do to fix this issue so I can use my Acid Pro 6.0? Thanks for any help. Richard

try running it as adminstrator, shift + right click on the shortcut, run as administrator.

4, and potentially 6 are too old to know about UAC, so wont prompt you if they're trying to make changes to locations that are now more secure on newer versions of windows - for example the default installation location.

if that works you can modify the shortcut to always run as admin.

  1. (If the shortcut is in your start menu) right click -> more -> open file location
  2. right click the shortcut -> properties -> compatibility -> "run this program as administrator"
