MXF files not supported. What is the best format to convert them to?

Hello. I make short films and shoot for weddings. Magix MEP 16 plus doesn't support MXF files. I have a converter program but there are a ton of choices. I shoot usually in 1920x1080/24p. My work is always transferred to a dvd for clients and I need to figure out the best format to convert the MXF files to and edit in where I wouldn't lose quality of the picture. Any advice would be appriciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi

Which format to convert to -  a difficult one to answer - if you are not producing BD or AVCHD discs - I would start with mpg files with a high quality  and high bitrate setting then standard DVD.
