MX Recording bug?

terrypin wrote on 5/16/2012, 7:54 AM

Another flaw in MX that is consistently reproducible here, but doesn't arise in MEP17.

If I record something and then use Retry take or Delete, my timeline marker is lost, jumping back to the start of the project.

Magix confirmed this as a known bug. Possibly fixed in VPX but not MEP.

It's actually quite an annoying one if, like me, you do much narrative recording. Because as soon as you hit Retry (which I do 75% of the time at least), you lose sight of what you're trying to describe and have to locate it again.

Hi Terry

Useful tip: -

Position the timeline cursor at the point where you want to start recording from  and set a marker (Ctrl + Enter) , give it a name or number - I use numbers as it makes it easier to see which one you jump to.

You can use the Ctrl + number key to jump direct to the marker, ie with the first marker you set Ctrl + 1 will jump to it, with the second Ctrl + 2 and so on.

You can also drag them to other positions as you need.

These are really useful when editting.

John

Thanks John.

Edit: Shift + 1, etc is similar. But unfortunately neither help much in this situation, as they're inaccessible when using the recorder.
