Not sure if you can help me, but I recently had my computer attacked by a nasty malware, which is known as CryptoWall 3.0. This virus encrypted all the personal files on my computer. So all my photo and video projects were impacted -- making them unreadable. My internet security company said they have now cleaned the malware out of my system, although they are unable to decrypt my files.
I did not pay the ransom, but decided to upload my files from other devices to restore the photos, etc., that I want to work with.
However, I am afraid the Magix software was also impacted by the malware, since when I tried to play a previuosly burned DVD on my computer using Magix MEP plus, it only had video, but no sound. This same DVD plays fine on a standalone DVD player. (I was hoping to be able to upload the DVD and then burn more copies of it.)
So does this mean I'll have uninstall Magix and then reenstall it from the disk I was mailed when I purchased MEP 2015 Plus?
Finally can you tell me if Adobe Flash Player is needed with the Magix software? I suspect the virus came from an phony update to the Flash plug in. If I uninstall Adobe Flash, does it affect Magix MEP?
